New tour packages are being prepared following a three-day training that brought together municipal tourism officers and private sector partners in the province.
The activity focused on creating ready-to-offer itineraries that can be promoted to visitors, with the aim of attracting more tourists and supporting local income.
Organized by the Provincial Government of Apayao in partnership with the Department of Tourism–Cordillera, the seminar covered destination mapping, itinerary planning, experience design, and costing.

Participants developed and presented sample tour packages based on sites in their respective municipalities, highlighting local attractions and cultural features.
The training ended April 30 with a mock tour to selected destinations, including Dupag Rock Formation, Cagandungan Bridge, Marag Shrine, Manacota Underground River, and Lussok Cave, serving as a field test of the prepared itineraries.

The activity gives municipalities initial tour products that can be refined and offered to visitors as part of the province’s tourism efforts.
