Around 150 participants joined the 22nd Women with Disabilities Day held April 14, 2026 at the Aliwa Gymnasium in San Isidro, Luna, under the theme “Landas ng Makabagong Babaylan: Pantay, Inklusibo, at Lahat May Kakayahan.”
The activity focused on access to services, with participants availing of health, wellness, and legal support during the one-day event. The Provincial Health Office (PHO) led the Healthy yApayao Caravan, providing medical consultations and dental check-ups, while SAMAKA Luna Wellness Spa offered massage, guasha, acupuncture, and basic beauty care.

Legal assistance was also made available through the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Apayao Chapter. At the same time, members of the Provincial Council on Disability Affairs held consultations to review concerns raised by participants and discuss areas for program support.

Financial assistance was released to 214 beneficiaries under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program, with each receiving P5,000 through the Department of Social Welfare and Development – SWAD Apayao, in coordination with the provincial government.

The activity is part of ongoing efforts to bring services closer to women with disabilities and to address needs raised at the community level.
