The Provincial Government of Apayao held a coordination meeting at the Capitol Conference Hall to finalize the rollout of the Assistance to Indigent Individuals or Families – Food Assistance under the Rice Distribution Project.
The meeting focused on the use of the P53 million Local Government Support Fund – Financial Assistance to Local Government Units. Municipal and provincial targets were set, along with the schedule for the first round of rice distribution and steps to keep the process orderly at the ground level.
Participants also discussed beneficiary identification, supply management, and coordination with farmers’ cooperatives to secure sufficient rice for all areas. Logistics, including packaging and distribution materials, were also taken up.
The activity was attended by representatives from the Office of the Lone District Representative of Apayao, along with LGU focal persons, MSWDO, MAO, MPDO, PSWDO, PDRRMO, POAS, DAR, and DA-ROS.
The coordination aims to keep the distribution on schedule and ensure that assistance reaches identified households across the province.
