Three food exhibitors from Apayao are set to take part in the 7th Mangan Taku Cordillera Food Fair from April 23 to 27 at the Rose Garden, Burnham Park, Baguio City.
Kengay Local Food Products, Trisha’s Fastfood, and Lydia’s Panciteria and Catering Services will carry the province’s entries, bringing with them a mix of processed products and native dishes. Among these are chili oils and smoked pork from Kengay, chips and coffee from Trisha’s, and traditional preparations such as sinapan, kinuhed, bungul, inandila, and other local dishes from Lydia’s.
The three exhibitors are part of Apayao’s effort to place its local food products in a larger market, where buyers, visitors, and fellow producers from the Cordillera converge during the five-day event. For small producers, the fair will likewise be a direct space to sell, take feedback, and build connections outside the province.
The Mangan Taku Food Fair is held as part of the Cordillera’s food month activities in Baguio City, gathering exhibitors from different provinces to present their local products in one venue. Apayao’s participation this year adds to the continuing push to bring its food products to a wider audience.
