Apayao Science High School (ASHS) finished in the Top 10 of the 2026 TechQuest: National Robotics Challenge for Academia held April 16–17 in Makati City.
The competition gathered 31 teams from various schools in the country and tested entries in robotics performance, coding, and problem-solving under time constraints.
Pierce Neo G. Galleon and Mark Ceasar T. Ballad represented the school, with guidance from coaches Mike Bernardo and Allen Clifford Luyun. The team sustained its run through the rounds to secure a Top 10 placement.
The result follows their qualification as regional champions in the DICT-CAR robotics challenge in September 2025, which earned them a slot in the national competition.
TechQuest is organized by the DigiPlus Foundation in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology, serving as a venue for student teams to present robotics and coding skills at the national level.
