Eighty residents underwent chest X-ray screening during the TB Caravan (Apayao Mobile PCF) conducted in Cabatacan, Pudtol on August 27.
The Provincial Health Office (PHO) and Pudtol Rural Health Unit (RHU) conducted the caravan at the Cabatacan Gymnasium, providing chest X-ray screening and consultation as part of tuberculosis case detection in the municipality.
A blood collection activity was also conducted, with 22 individuals participating.
The mobile screening allows residents to undergo basic TB screening within their municipality and helps health workers identify individuals who may require further examination and appropriate care.
The activity is part of the Provincial Government of Apayao’s community-based TB prevention and detection program, with the PHO working with municipal health offices to bring screening services to local communities.
