Dr. Benedicta B. Gamatero, CESO V, has returned as Schools Division Superintendent of Apayao and was welcomed in a program at the BGVJr. Memorial Sports Center.
Officials, educators, and stakeholders attended the activity, along with representatives from SDO Tabuk City led by Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Jan Nowel Peña, and SDO Apayao headed by Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Jerry B. Sario Jr.

In her message, Gamatero expressed appreciation for the chance to serve again.
“It is nice to be back again. With deep gratitude and humility in my heart, I stand before you with excitement to serve once more,” she said.
She called for continued cooperation among stakeholders, noting that education requires shared effort. She said her leadership will focus on transparency, accountability, compassion, integrity, and teamwork.

Gamatero also laid out priorities, including strengthening governance, improving learning outcomes, supporting both teaching and non-teaching personnel, and maintaining safe and culturally responsive schools.
She recalled her previous stint beginning December 2020, citing both challenges and gains during the pandemic period, and acknowledged her former team in SDO Tabuk City.

Board Member Vincent Talattag, in his message, affirmed support from the provincial government for education programs in Apayao.
“We are very fortunate because our SDS is one of our own here in Apayao. The provincial government stands behind you,” he said.

The program included a Pledge of Support and Commitment from SDO Apayao and the turnover of the Division Education Development Plan.
