Residents of Barangay Marag turned out in large numbers on June 2 as government agencies brought various public services directly to the community through the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) Serbisyo Caravan and Ugnayan sa Barangay.
Said activity was organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Apayao in partnership with National Line Agencies (NLAs), the Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA), and the Municipal Government of Luna.
Hundreds of residents availed of government services and assistance offered by participating agencies throughout the day. Health services, social welfare assistance, employment-related programs, agricultural support services, civil registration concerns, and other frontline government services were made available in one venue. The activity also provided residents an opportunity to raise concerns and discuss priority needs directly with government representatives through the Ugnayan sa Barangay component of the program.

Luna Mayor Januario S. Garde, and other provincial and municipal officials joined the activity and reiterated their support for programs that bring government services closer to communities.
Marag is the second barangay covered under this year’s RCSP implementation in Apayao following the conduct of the Serbisyo Caravan and Ugnayan sa Barangay in San Gregorio, Luna on May 28. The succeeding activities are scheduled in Dagupan, Luna on June 4; Calabigan, Luna on June 16; Cagandungan, Luna on June 17; and Calafug in Conner on June 22.

Under the RCSP, government agencies converge in identified barangays to deliver services, gather community concerns, and identify interventions that can be supported by local and national government programs.
