Apayao State College (ASC) took a step closer to university status as the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) conducted a Quality Assurance Monitoring and Assessment of its academic programs on April 23 at the EKB Auditorium in ASC Luna Campus.

The review is part of the requirements for the proposed conversion of the institution into a university, covering its academic offerings, systems, and overall readiness.
Apayao Lone District Representative Cong. Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang attended the activity, along with Dr. John Cabansag, who noted the college’s potential for elevation. The assessment was led by CHED-CAR OIC Director IV Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon.

The outcome of the evaluation will contribute to the determination of whether ASC meets the standards for university status.
