Two research studies by Grade 12 STEM students of Apayao National Industrial and Agricultural High School (ANIAHS) have been published in the ISRG Journal of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, an international peer-reviewed journal.
The papers focus on local agricultural practices. One examined feed formulation using green, red, and mixed Napier grass for upgraded Dorper sheep. The other studied the growth and yield of pechay using different animal manures.

The first study was conducted by Kyla Mitzcel Bitagon, Arbhea Faith Lagat, Princess Andres, Ashly Kate Sion, Ryza Paus, Cornelio Danao Jr., and Yogrant Deegun Dullit. The second was carried out by Kayla Sibal, Lindsay Mae Beran, Liane Rosuelle Bunot, Riane Nathalie Ednilao, Dweyne Heished Canda, Jerome Laguitnay, and Jerico Tubban.
Both groups completed the full research cycle, from proposal development and field experimentation to data analysis and defense, under the supervision of Dr. Rogie Sabado, with panel members Dr. Louie Villanueva, Mr. Jonathan Batara, Mrs. Merlita G. Lopit, and Mr. Jhon Paul Sabado.

Field work was supported by the Municipal Agriculture and Fishery Office, the Department of Agriculture–Research Outreach Station Apayao, and veterinary assistance from Dr. Vivian Piagan. The Local Government Unit of Calanasan also provided support during the conduct of the studies.
School officials said the publication adds to ongoing efforts to strengthen student research in Apayao, particularly in areas with direct application to local agriculture.
