The Provincial Government of Apayao received a Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health (DRRM-H) Technical Assistance Package from the Department of Health–Center for Health Development Cordillera Administrative Region (DOH-CHD CAR) on April 21.
The assistance includes equipment and supplies for emergency response, among them a generator set, water tanks, portable toilets and showers, wheelchairs, assistive devices, cadaver bags, hygiene kits, and camp-related items.
The package is intended to support the province’s response during disasters and health emergencies, particularly in areas requiring immediate medical care and basic services.
Provincial representatives led by PDRRM Officer Joeffrey Borromeo attended the turnover and arranged the transport of the equipment to Apayao.
The additional resources will be used to support local response teams and strengthen ongoing efforts in emergency preparedness across the province.
