Department of Health–Center for Health Development Cordillera Administrative Region (DOH-CHD-CAR) Director IV Dr. Amelita M. Pangilinan, MPH, CESO III visited Amma Jadsac District Hospital (AJDH) on July 1 to meet with provincial and local officials and discuss the hospital’s current operations, manpower requirements, and proposed improvements.
Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr., Provincial Department Heads, Pudtol Mayor Atty. Edmar Pascua, representatives from the Provincial Department of Health Office (PDOHO), Provincial Health Office (PHO), PhilHealth, the Rural Health Unit of Pudtol, and AJDH personnel joined the visit.
During the meeting, AJDH Chief of Hospital Dr. Mary Elisa S. Galleon presented the hospital’s priority needs, existing vacancies, and other operational concerns. The discussion also included the proposed P9.9-million Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) allocation for the hospital, which is intended to support future facility improvements.
The visit gave provincial and regional health officials an opportunity to review the hospital’s current situation and identify areas requiring immediate attention as part of ongoing efforts to improve health services in the province.
Provincial officials will continue their visit tomorrow, July 2, at Santa Marcela District Hospital (SMDH), where hospital officials will also present the facility’s priority needs and ongoing programs.
