The Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA) granted cash incentives to nineteen (19) students and two (2) teacher-coaches of Apayao Science High School (ASHS) on January 28, 2026, in recognition of their performance in national and international academic competitions.
The awardees personally received the incentives at the Provincial Capitol in Luna, Apayao.
The incentives covered achievements in mathematics, science, and research competitions, including the 21st National Science Quest, the Hong Kong International Science Olympiad (HKISO), the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO), and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Greater Bay Area (GBA) heat rounds.
ASHS Principal Danilo L. Cudiamat thanked the provincial government for its continued support, noting that the incentives encourage students and teachers to sustain strong academic performance and continue representing Apayao in academic competitions.
The student awardees and teacher-coaches also expressed appreciation to Gov Elias C. Bulut,Jr., Congresswoman Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang, and Luna Mayor Januario S. Garde for the consistent support extended to the school.
They said the financial assistance will help support current and future academic needs as they continue participating in competitive academic and research activities. School officials noted that the achievements were the result of coordinated efforts by students and teachers, supported by the province and local government units.
