Apayao gymnastics struck anew in the 2026 Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) Meet, turning another regional campaign into a gold rush. Over four days of competition at the Baguio City National High School (BCNHS), the Apayao Eagles collected 32 gold medals in Aerobic, Artistic, and Rhythmic Gymnastics, once again asserting their weight in one of the meet’s most technical sports.
The surge began in Aerobic Gymnastics, where Apayao accounted for 12 gold medals. The routines were sharp and controlled, with strong finishes that separated Apayao from the rest of the field.

Women’s Artistic Gymnastics produced six golds, with steady showings on vault, beam, bars, and floor. The Men’s Artistic squad followed with seven gold medals, grinding through floor, vault, parallel bars, and high bar with clean landings and minimal deductions.
Rhythmic Gymnastics added seven gold medals of its own, closing the meet with routines that were measured and precise.

By the close of events from February 23 to 26, the tally stood at 32 gold medals distributed in all gymnastics disciplines. The breadth of the haul highlighted the depth of Apayao’s program, which continues to field contenders in every category it enters.
Gymnastics has long been one of Apayao’s reliable medal producers in the CARAA. In this year’s meet, the Eagles showed that the program remains intact, disciplined, and difficult to dislodge.
