The Apayao State College (ASC) celebrated its 28th Charter Day on March 10, 2026 at the EKB Auditorium of the ASC Luna Campus, highlighting nearly three decades of service in higher education and community development in the province.
Said event gathered provincial officials, academic leaders, faculty members, students, alumni, and development partners of the college.
Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr., who served as guest speaker, commended the institution for its role in producing professionals and supporting development efforts in Apayao. He emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation between educational institutions and the local government in strengthening education and community programs.

During the program, the college presented several institutional milestones, including developments in governance and quality management aligned with the Philippine Quality Award framework, recognition in international university rankings, strengthened international partnerships, and its performance in various professional licensure examinations.
ASC also reported developments in its internationalization initiatives through collaborations with academic institutions abroad aimed at expanding opportunities for students and faculty.
The celebration also included the oath-taking of newly promoted faculty members and the signing of memoranda of agreement with partner institutions.

Now on its 28th year, ASC continues its work in providing quality higher education while contributing to development efforts in Apayao and the wider Cordillera region, guided by the vision of the late Governor Elias K. Bulut Sr., whose support helped establish the college.
