Apayao PLGU expands artificial insemination services for cattle, carabao raisers

The Provincial Government of Apayao, through the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO), is extending artificial insemination (AI) services to cattle and carabao raisers in the province to improve livestock quality and production.

The service uses controlled breeding techniques to introduce improved genetics, helping produce animals with better growth, higher milk yield, and increased resistance to disease. It also reduces the need for maintaining breeding bulls, lowering costs for farmers.

Alongside breeding services, the program includes pregnancy diagnosis and basic animal health support to improve survival and productivity of livestock.

The program aims to strengthen local livestock production and support farmers’ income through improved herd quality.

Farmers may coordinate with the PVO or their respective Municipal Agriculture Offices to avail of the service.
