The Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA) conducted a post-evaluation and coordination meeting for the first tranche of the Assistance to Indigent Individuals or Families–Food Assistance (AIIF-FA) Program to assess implementation, discuss operational concerns, and prepare for the succeeding distributions.
As of May 27, the first tranche has reached 93.37 percent of the provincewide target of 12,666 beneficiaries, with a total allocation of P7.57 million. The distribution covered a target volume of 126,660 kilograms of rice, equivalent to 10 kilograms per beneficiary.

Discussions also covered the status of rice procurement from local suppliers and preparations for the second and third tranches. Beneficiaries are set to receive 20 kilograms of rice under each succeeding tranche, translating to a target requirement of 253,320 kilograms for both the second and third distributions.

Provincial Administrator Arnold B. Castillo emphasized the importance of close coordination among implementing offices, local government units (LGUs), and partner agencies to sustain the delivery of assistance, particularly in geographically isolated communities.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Municipal LGUs, the Office of the Apayao Congressional District, local farmers’ cooperatives, and provincial offices involved in the implementation of the program.
