Farmers in Pudtol participated in a Rapid Soil Test (RST) and Soil Analysis Training conducted by the Municipal Office for Agricultural Services (MOAS) in partnership with the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office (DA-RFO) on July 6 at the Clubhouse and Multi-purpose Building in Poblacion.
The training covered proper soil sampling, rapid soil testing, and the interpretation of test results to help farmers determine the nutrient requirements of their farms and apply fertilizers more efficiently.
Resource persons from the Provincial Office for Agricultural Services (POAS), the DA-RFO, and the Bureau of Soils and Water Management led lectures and field demonstrations on the use of rapid soil testing methods.
At the end of the activity, participants received Rapid Soil Test kits for use in their farms and communities, allowing them to conduct basic soil assessments and apply the knowledge gained during the training.
